The charter for the urban development area Ausserholligen Mitte Bern is a «script book» and a «navigation aid» for future urban development. It offers orientation for the implementation of individual projects and at the same time forms the basis for necessary building regulations.
The charter includes the goals and central ideas of the area development, the spatial principles for the entire area and the regulations (ID cards) for the individual building plots and open spaces. The spatial principles and the ID cards form the “set of rules” to ensure the intended high-quality and structured development of the area.
