Large format exposed concrete surfaces form the shell of the new buildings for the entrance and auditorium in the Roche Kaiseraugst area. The white cement concrete was mixed with air-pre forming aggregates. Sandblasting the pores breaks them down and this forms an irregular, naturally porous texture. The joint pattern and weld are then defined based on a developed template. This produces the image onto large scale, monolithic paved areas, and building corners.
