Village life served as the starting point of our project: The functionality of an efficient operation is linked to the smallness of a village structure: Squares, courtyards, corners and covered outdoor areas provide places children and adolescents can identify with. In interplay with the recesses and courtyards, the sloped roofs create images that automatically distinguish a unique place that will long be remembered. Thanks to the terraces that have been constructed on the first floor as well, the various user groups can enjoy several separate, small areas to retreat into for reflection and meeting one another. The gabled facade towards the Friedrich Miescher Strasse gives the building its own unmistakable character.
